Cadence Equestrian Center is a year-round riding facility. The equipment , lodge, barns, and arenas are kept in pristine condition to create an optimal riding experience.

Camp Cadence horses are chosen very selectively by our professional instructors. Only the safest and most well-mannered horses are chosen. Each horse is trained extensively in order to foster an exceptional learning environment.

Our horses are as diverse as our students. The horses vary in breed, size, color, age and skill level. That way each horse is tailored to fit the campers individual needs.

YES! Camp Cadence caters to all children's personality types and skill levels. Most of our campers have no horse or riding experience before attending camp. Our experienced camp staff make the introduction to riding and horses an enjoyable and safe place for all children.

If you'd like your child to have one riding experience before attending camp we suggest signing up for a one-time no commitment introductory riding lesson. You can sign up for a riding lesson on the "lessons" page of this website.

Riding is a big part of Camp Cadence! Full-Day Campers typically ride twice a day on most camp days, while Half-Day Campers ride once each day.

Camp is divided into smaller activity rotations, allowing campers to experience riding, horsemanship, horse care, and a variety of other camp activities throughout the day.

For 20 years, Camp Cadence has provided a fun-filled, thoughtfully planned horse camp experience that combines riding, horsemanship, learning, and plenty of fun.

Campers spend their day in smaller groups and organized activity rotations, giving them the opportunity to experience riding, horsemanship, horse care, and a variety of other camp activities without participating as one large group.

Groups and riding activities are thoughtfully organized with factors such as age, buddy requests, riding experience, ability, and safety in mind. All activities are supervised by our experienced adult camp counselors and staff, helping us provide a safe, organized, and engaging camp experience from drop-off to pick-up.

Camp Cadence continues rain or shine, with activities adjusted when necessary for the safety of our campers and horses. Our facility includes an indoor riding arena, covered areas, and an air-conditioned lodge where campers can participate in games and other activities during severe weather or extreme heat.

Cadence Equestrian Center also has a large underground tornado shelter in the event of a tornado.

One of the greatest benefits of camp is giving children the opportunity to build confidence and independence in a safe, supportive environment. Camp Cadence is a drop-off camp, and parents and guardians do not stay during camp hours. This helps campers settle into their groups, make new friends, and fully participate in camp activities.

For the safety and security of our campers and to minimize distractions, we do not offer visiting hours during camp. We have found that campers are better able to focus, engage, and enjoy the camp experience when participating independently with their group.

We know parents love seeing their children enjoying camp! Summer campers receive a framed photo of themselves riding a horse to take home and families are invited to join our private Camp Cadence Photo Circle, where we share additional photos and memories from the week.

Camp tuition is due in full at registration. Cancellations made 30 or more days before camp are eligible for a refund, less a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days before camp are not eligible for refunds or credits.

Requests to switch camp dates may be submitted at least 30 days before camp begins and are subject to availability.
