FULL DAY CAMPS

  • Full Day Camp is the perfect camp for any horse crazy kid where longer days at the barn make for more horsey fun, and more time in the saddle! On most camp days campers will ride twice including in an individualized riding lesson, and again in the afternoon playing games on horseback, bareback riding, or trail riding. Campers will gain knowledge and confidence throughout the week and learn many skills including safety around horses, horse care, horse grooming, horse feeding, and more! Campers will also enjoy our fun specialty days including fishing day and water day!

HALF DAY CAMPS

395 per week

  • Half Day Camp is our condensed day camp for parents looking for a shorter camp day. The half day camp can be a good option for younger campers who may not be ready for the full day camp experience. Campers are immersed in the world of horses and receive a daily riding lesson tailored to their skill level. Campers will gain knowledge and confidence throughout the week and learn many skills including safety around horses, horse care, horse grooming, horse feeding, and of course horse back riding! All in a safe and fun environment!

RIDING ACADEMY CAMPS

550 per week

  • CEC Riding Academy Students or Approved Program

  • Riding Academy Camp is an intermediate to advanced camp specially designed for our Riding Academy students! Campers must be enrolled in regular riding lessons at Cadence (or similar approved program) AND have instructor approval to participate. Riding Academy Camp campers will get lots of time in the saddle. Each day campers will ride TWICE including one riding lesson (riders divided by skill level) and one fun ride (i.e bareback, trail ride, or games on horseback). Campers will also participate in fun activities to further enrich their horsemanship knowledge and polish those skills.

2022 School Break Camps

SPRING BREAK CAMP

The best way to spend breaks from school is at the barn! These camps are packed with an assortment of fun holiday & horse themed activities. School break camps run in conjunction with Edmond Public School breaks. Each day campers will also enjoy a daily riding lesson (divided by skill level) and further their horsemanship skills while also getting festive. Whether your camper is new to horses or a seasoned equestrian these campers are the perfect way to spend a break!

GENERAL CAMP CADENCE INFORMATION

LOCATION: Cadence Equestrian Center 14150 S. Pine Street Edmond, OK 73034

Directions: Heading Northbound on I-35 take exit 146 on the right. Head East on Waterloo Rd. for approximately half a mile. Turn left to head North on Pine St. then Cadence will be located approximately a quarter mile down on the right-hand side.


DROP OFF & PICK UP:

HALF-DAY CAMPS

  • Drop off is at the Riding Academy barn between 8:15 am - 8:30 am for 8:30 am - 11:30 am sessions or 11:45 am - 12:00 pm for 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm sessions.
  • Pick up is at the Riding Academy barn from 11:25 - 11:30 am for our 8:30 - 11:30 am sessions or 2:55-3:00 pm for our 12:00 - 3:00 pm sessions. (Please do not be late and please don’t arrive earlier than the pick-up time each day so as not to disturb our many camp activities.)

FULL-DAY CAMPS

  • Drop off is between 8:45 - 9:00 am each day at the riding academy barn.
  • Pick up is at 2:55 - 3:00 pm each day for Full-Day camps. Pick up is at the riding academy barn. Please arrive no earlier than the pick-up time each day so as not to disturb our many camp activities.

*** There will be an after care fee assessed for any late pickups.  Please be on time for pick up.***


CAMP ATTIRE:

  • Long pants (jeans, breeches or tights).
  • Closed-toed shoes preferably with heel (boots are best); however if you are buying boots for camp & you think your camper may take riding lessons in future, please invest in English paddock boots (not cowboy boots) – these are locally available at Red Earth Feed & Tack in OKC, or Circle E in Edmond.
  • Sunscreen & bug spray applied BEFORE camp each day.
  • Riding helmets provided.
  • If your child has allergies, you may want to give them allergy medicine before camp.

DAILY PACKING LIST:

  • Refillable water jug filled with ice water.
  • Packed lunch (full-day camp only)- If your camper’s lunch needs to be refrigerated, please pack lunch with an ice pack inside or inform the counselor if you would like the lunch placed in the refrigerator. Please do not send meals that need to be microwaved. Also please note: some of our campers have life-threatening peanut and tree-nut allergies. We ask that you partner with us in protecting our campers by considering not packing food containing peanut butter or nuts.

FULL DAY CAMP - SPECIALITY DAYS:

WEDNESDAY - FISHING DAY!

  • What to bring: Fishing pole & bait of choice (not mandatory).
  • What to wear: Please make sure kids have extra sunscreen & bug spray on that day -- a hat is great too!

THURSDAY - WATER DAY!

  • What to bring: Towel & water shoes (any shoes that can get wet).
  • What to wear: Please make sure your camper has their swimsuit on underneath their clothes and also has plenty of sunscreen applied before camp!

 NOT PERMITTED ITEMS:

  • Electronic devices should be left at home. If you must send a cell phone with your child, it must be kept in the off position and in the camper’s assigned locker during camp hours. We are not responsible for lost cell phones.
  • Additional items not listed in the camp packing list or camp attire list.
