Camp Description

The best way to spend breaks from school is at Camp Cadence!  Our horse camps are packed with an assortment of fun horse themed activities. Each day, campers will enjoy a daily riding lesson (divided by skill level) and further their horsemanship knowledge & skills.  On most of our full day camp days, campers will ride twice including an individualized horse riding lesson in the morning, and again in the afternoon playing games on horseback, bareback rides, & trail rides. Campers will gain confidence throughout camp and learn many skills including safety around horses, horse care, horse grooming, horse feeding, and more! Campers will also enjoy a fishing adventure and water activity day at our summer camps! Whether your camper is new to horses or a seasoned equestrian, our camps are the perfect way to spend their breaks!

  • Please put sunscreen on your child each morning + bug screen on them on fishing day.
  • If your child is allergy prone, please consider giving him/her a non-drowsy allergy medication such as Allegra, Zrytec, etc, the morning of each camp to avoid allergy issues that could disrupt your child's camp experience.
  • Your camper may bring fresh baby carrots and apples each day to feed to the horses, but please make sure to cut up in bite size pieces.

Not permitted items:

  • Do NOT send cell phones, watches or extra things with your camper; cell phones will be picked up and put in the camp office during camp hours -- we want our campers to be having fun at horse camp; not checking their phones!

Extreme weather notice:

  • If the National Weather Service issues an “Excessive Heat Warning” or “Severe Thunderstorm Warning” for any camp day, we will make adjustments to the schedule as needed to keep campers safe by bringing the campers under a shelter, or inside our air conditioned lodge for games or Rated G horse movies such as “Spirit”.
